Reebok has announced an exclusive partnership with Futureverse, an AI and metaverse content firm, to create innovative experiences for consumers in the realms of AI, Web 3.0, gaming, and the metaverse. The collaboration aims to enhance customer interactions and consumer experiences with Reebok’s footwear and apparel.

The first project to be launched under this partnership is called “Reebok Impact,” which is set to debut in 2024. While specific details about Reebok Impact have not been revealed, a teaser video has been released, describing it as a “mind and heart-bending digital shoe experience” that will introduce mass consumers to artificial intelligence. The project will focus on shared experiences, allowing individuals to share significant life moments that have shaped their identities and impacted the world.

Daniel W. Dienst, the executive vice chairman of tactical opportunities at Authentic Brands Group, Reebok’s parent company, believes this partnership will redefine the intersection of fashion, technology, and culture. He also sees it as a pivotal moment in Reebok’s brand evolution.

Reebok has been exploring virtual experiences for some time now. In 2021, the brand collaborated with rapper A$AP Nast on an NFT collection. Additionally, Reebok filed trademark applications for the metaverse last year, joining other prominent sneaker giants and fashion brands.

The founders of Futureverse, Shara Senderoff, and Aaron McDonald, stated that the partnership with Reebok is a testament to their shared belief that life is meant to be actively participated in rather than observed. They aim to redefine digital fashion and create a world where a person’s digital footprint is as significant as their physical one. Futureverse, with its unique blend of AI, metaverse, and content, is positioned to enable these experiences.

Futureverse has already gained recognition from various entities, including FIFA, which licenses its mobile soccer game AI League, and talent agency CAA, with whom it signed a tech deal in November. The company has also secured significant investments during a year when metaverse momentum declined.

Reebok’s Chief Executive Officer, Todd Krinsky, expressed the brand’s excitement about the partnership, stating that Reebok is deeply rooted in consumer trends and transformative technology. With the Futureverse collaboration and the upcoming launch of Reebok Impact, the brand aims to engage consumers in the digital evolution of its products and redefine the realm of possibility.
