GALA GAMES (GALA)
Gala Games is a play-to-earn blockchain gaming platform launched in 2020. The platform has a built-in game store that allows users to play a wide variety of games and earn rewards.

WHAT IS GALA GAMES?
Gala Games is one of the earliest blockchain based gaming platforms to launch play-to-earn games. The platform prioritizes quality over quantity and has an ecosystem of player-owned and controlled games.
For playing its wide range of games, the network rewards gamers with GALA tokens. The platform was originally built on Ethereum as an ERC-20 asset, but recently created a bridge to Binance Smart Chain and transitioned to BEP-20. This move significantly reduced transaction fee for users when spending their GALA tokens on the platform.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Built-in Store
Gala Games has a built-in game store that features a wide variety of games for users to play with. The games are free to play and can be accessed through a Decentralized Application (DApp). At the moment, the store has five games:
1.Mirandus
A fantasy RPG game where players build on land to earn revenue and battle monsters for rewards
2.Spider Tank
A multiplayer online battle arena game where players can battle each other using a variety of spider themed armory.
3.Town Star
A town building and development game that allows players to earn rewards and compete with each other to own NFTs
4.Echoes of Empire
A sci-fi strategy game where players wage war against each other to control scarce resources across the universe
NFT Marketplace
Gala Games also has an NFT marketplace where players can buy and sell in-game assets. The items are divided into six classes;
1.Common
2.Uncommon
3.Rare
4.Epic
5.Legendary
6.Ancient
Gala has partnered with CoinPayments to allow players to trade their in-game NFTs using multiple cryptocurrencies.
Community Owned
Gala Games is powered by nodes run by community members. Gala’s operation and development team constantly engage with the community to determine the direction of the platform and its games. This ensures the network is always tuned to the suggestions of the community and its users.
Gala Games has 1.3 million active users, making it one of the most popular P2E gaming platforms on the blockchain.
GALA
GALA is the platform’s native utility token. The token is used for payments within the platform, purchase in-game items and reward node operators.
Tokenomics
GALA has a fixed maximum supply of 50 billion tokens. Currently about 7 billion tokens are in circulation, representing 14% of the total. According to official documents, over 8 million tokens are distributed every day, out of which half the amount are distributed amongst the network’s node operators and the other half goes to Gala Games conservatorship.
GALA has a halving mechanism similar to Bitcoin, where token supply is halved on July 21 every year. The current supply of GALA stands at 8 million per day, down from 16 million the previous year.
Users can earn GALA by playing the games or by running a network node. Node operators are required to buy a license in order to operate, after which they can run the GALA Node software on their home computers and earn rewards in GALA, and game NFTs. The license costs $13,000 and can be purchased using ETH, GALA and BAT (Basic Attention Token).
HOW TO BUY GALA?
GALA tokens can be purchased over major cryptocurrency exchanges and can also be traded for with ETH, BTC and BAT.
