Decentralized exchange protocol PancakeSwap has expanded to Linea.
While PancakeSwap expands its reach, its competitor Uniswap has yet to make its services available on Linea. Uniswap currently supports Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Base among its list of supported blockchains.

PancakeSwap, the popular decentralized exchange protocol, has announced its expansion to Linea, the Ethereum Layer 2 scaling network developed by Consensys. The move comes as PancakeSwap continues to expand its presence across multiple blockchain networks.
Linea, being an Ethereum Layer 2 solution, offers several benefits to users, including lower gas fees, faster transaction times, and improved capital efficiency. By processing transactions on its network before summarizing them on the main Ethereum blockchain, Linea helps speed up transactions and reduce fees. The network, which operates as a zero-knowledge rollup, launched its mainnet in July.
With its integration into Linea, PancakeSwap will bring its swap and liquidity provisioning features to the network. Swap refers to the exchange of one token for another, while liquidity provisioning involves adding funds to a pool to facilitate trading and earn rewards. In the coming months, PancakeSwap plans to introduce its farm feature, allowing users to stake their liquidity provider tokens and earn the platform’s native CAKE token while maintaining a position in their LP tokens. Additionally, PancakeSwap intends to deploy its initial farm offering (IFO) platform on Linea, providing early access to new tokens.
PancakeSwap’s expansion to Linea marks its seventh blockchain integration as the protocol focuses on Ethereum scaling networks. Originally built on Binance Smart Chain (BNB Chain), PancakeSwap has expanded to Ethereum, Aptos, Polygon zkEVM, zkSync Era, and Arbitrum One. The protocol, launched in 2020, has rapidly grown to become the second-largest decentralized exchange protocol, second only to Uniswap.
The integration with Linea follows PancakeSwap’s collaboration with the Linea team as a testnet ecosystem partner back in June. As PancakeSwap continues to expand its multichain presence, it aims to provide users with a wide range of options for trading and liquidity provision across various blockchain networks.
While PancakeSwap expands its reach, its competitor Uniswap has yet to make its services available on Linea. Uniswap currently supports Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Base among its list of supported blockchains.
PancakeSwap’s expansion to Linea on the Consensys-powered Ethereum Layer 2 network is expected to provide users with enhanced capabilities and improved user experience while leveraging the benefits of scalability and cost efficiency offered by Layer 2 solutions.
