According to reports, Elon Musk bought Bored Ape NFT for almost 600 ETH
According to NFT collectors, who switched from Derek.eth to Twitter, the top tier NFT Ape Bored, number 1837, has been sold to an anonymous buyer who decided to spend nearly 600 ETH on it. Deepak (Derek) had previously sold the song for 690,420 ETH, citing the infamous "meme number" Musk frequently uses in his tweets.

This theory was also shared by blockchain insider Colin Wu on his Twitter account.
The only thing that contradicts the theory is Musk’s relationship with the NFT Twitter profile picture and the NFT industry in general. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO previously called out the management team on Twitter for the many bots and scammers under every Twitter post related to NFT and cryptocurrencies. The developer and co-founder of Dogecoin also joined Musk in criticizing Twitter’s lack of action to protect the social media platform from scammers and bots.
NFT ignores bloodshed in crypto market
Despite the sharp correction in the cryptocurrency market, the NFT industry does not appear to have suffered too much from the massive outflow from the market. Reserve prices of many of the top collectibles remain at the same level as last month.
The most recent catastrophic event for the industry was the NFT heist on the OpenSea platform, where a hacker managed to steal approximately $3 million worth of NFT, including parts of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, and on competitor OpenSea’s platform LooksRare.
